Pale white gold with a white head of moderate height that clings in fine doily lacing.
Side by side the real McCoy, this Bud "Like" is only slightly tangier, white grapier, perhaps less unpleasantly waxy in feel, but also surprisingly skunkier with a little more bite. That's only faintly so, nothing like Heine, but the similarities to actual Bud Light are uncanny.
Or maybe NOT, considering Noble Beast's intent, and their general level of quality. The BL I had in comparison seemed to have a little age on it, exhibiting a touch of malty graham I don't typically detect in Team Blue, or else it's the side by side a fresh draft that's highlighting that. It's not super present, though.
This has a nicely rounded, full body with a soft fluff, so feel is where Best Buds wins out.
It's tough to rate this, as I'm wanting to rate how well it emulated its inspiration, but I typically rate on my own personal enjoyment first, and then execution on style second. I think I already made it quite clear how spot on the nod to BL is, so I can't really give it a vastly different score. BL is just a terrible beer to mimic from the start. Considering the label art, I'd have appreciated a Bud Heavy tribute more.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
