Dark brown, not quite black, revealed more so at the edges, under a thin tan head settling to a creamy khaki blanket before dispersing to a thin chain.
Nose is decadent chocolate pie, caramelized crust, Tootsie Roll and Riesen drizzled with a little vanilla creme englaise.
Barrel and ABV are more potent in taste, mitigating anticipated sweetness with bitter oak char, but even that adds brownie crust suggestions.
A little fizzier than expected, making for a little less body than three years might typically encourage, but the age is there in stinging, then numbing strength, cleansing tannin and booze.
