Campervan Brewery

this place is awesome, tucked back of a little side street sort of at the end of the road, an industrial feeling area but a nice walk, a could of breweries back in there, just a few blocks from newbarns. its a great little spot, mostly for the beer, which was fire, but the hang is good too and the service was exceptional, and importantly for us this time, they are kid friendly. a kind of courtyard beer garden space out front in the parking lot, comfortable and mellow with picnic tables and all, we hung out inside where its a low key beer hall vibe, sort of warehouse feeling, pool table, long bar in the back, a bit minimal feeling, but mellow and comfortable. they had a solid mix of beers on tap and i was truly impressed with each we had, but the nitro extra black porter, which is somehow glute free, and the hazy pale were the standouts for me, but a new zealand pils and an overly fruited gose with apricot and peach were also fun, and it seems like these guys have some pretty cool beers working, ingredient focused and a good mix of classic styles and more ambitious stuff. they also have a beer bar location on the other side of town with a wild beer focus, i only was able to pop in there for a fast beer, rad place, but i didnt see any of that kind of beer in the brewery location when we were there. still the selection was solid and all the beer was great. service too was super friendly and helpful, generous with samples, and definitely enhanced our experience. chill vibes and great beer, definitely a place to check out if you are doing beer things in edinburgh, we had a great time in here.
