Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of roasted malts, light coconut. Taste follows the aroma. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall it ain't bad, but I would liked to have had more coconut.

Poured from 16 oz aluminum can.
look: significant head when poured from a can, diminished fairly quickly. Classic porter dark black color.
Smell: not overbearing, of coconut.
Taste: first hit with coconut, then left with a malty roasty finish. well balanced between the two.
feel: a bit harsher of a mouth feel than i expected from a porter.
Overall: Tasty balanced coconut porter.

Pours a dark brown with a thin, tan head that dissipates quickly. Very little lacing. Aroma has very little coconut, but is roasty. Taste is roasty, slight chocolate, and a hint of coconut.
Overall, a nice tasting porter.

Last Wave Brewing Co. "RIght Coast"
32 oz growler from the brewery.
Notes: Typical porter appearance: black with a full head of creamy dark tan foam. Very good head retention and lacing. This is a coconut porter but I'm not getting a lot of coconut in the aroma. There's some but it's basically roasty malt with a hint of dark, bittersweet chocolate. The flavor delivers much more coconut but it's far from the strongest coconut flavored porter I've ever tasted. With that said, it's not bad either, it's clearly there and you won't miss it. I'm also finding a bit of a stronger roastiness, some black coffee, and a little more of a milk chocolate-like chocolate along with the expected dark chocolate. The bitterness is restrained yet it still finishes mainly dry with some roastiness and a bit of earthiness lingering. Medium bodied and gently crisp-then-creamy across the tongue.
