16 ounce can in a nonic pint glass.
Pours a crystal clear golden lager-like looking base. A soapy white cap holds up and leaves a fair amount of lacing. Vibrant carbonation bubbles.
Earthy and dank, it smells like a fresh wet tree.
Sturdy malt base of fresh cut wood grain. Mango, pine resin, and a barely there lemon citrus taste.
Medium bodied, malty, not sweet, mild bitterness. Dry finish.
In an era of juice bomb IPA imposters, Cutback is a refreshing take on west coast style American IPA. It looks great, smells and tastes good, simply. It’s a real beer.
