I had this beer on cask in a half-pint glass at The Bow Bar in Edinburgh.
Appearance: pale golden hue with just a little dash of haze and a thin finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: a mild, lightly crackery malt, with a bit of an earthy and lightly citrusy hop character. Not bad.
Taste: perhaps a little sweeter than the aroma, with a bit of a grassy, slightly citrusy hop flavor. A pretty standard pale.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a light carbonation. Cask doesn’t always lead to the best texture … but we love cask anyway.
Overall: nicely drinkable with a low ABV and an approachable flavor profile.

Pint from cask at The Bow Bar in Edinburgh. Finishing off the trip right with a wee whiskey, Ardbeg Wee Beastie. Pairs surprisingly well. This is a solid session Pale. Mild yet citrusty hops balanced with enough malt to keep it from being too bitter. Finishes smooth and easy like all cask ales. Proper end to a proper trip.
