The Nepalese pepper beer, Timur, offers a new unique twist to the traditional beer flavor palette. It has a distinctive citrusy aroma that creates a numbing yet pleasantly tingly sensation on the tongue. Timur can be found in many traditional Nepalese curry recipes.
Timur is also known as Sichuan pepper.

Served as an exclusive brew at a Nepalese restaurant in downtown Helsinki.
Small starting head that disappears completely. No lace. Slightly dirty gold color. Clear.
Mostly pale malt nose with a touch of cream and tartness. Mild.
The taste is closest to the macro European pale lager but there is a light spice in the background. Thinner body with ample carbonation. There isn’t any hop per se, but the Sichuan pepper spice is a great substitute. Intended to be unique but isn’t distinctive enough to be that different from the run-of-the-mill pale lagers.
