Pours mostly clear dark amber, eggshell lacing for a head.
Smells lightly of cereal grains and biscuit malt.
Flavor is of biscuit and caramel, some toast and cereal.
Medium body, tingly carbonation on the tongue.
This is a very simple, straightforward amber AK ale, something in the family of English bitters. It's not hugely distinctive, but extremely well balanced. Tastes really good but would also pair well with food, like a pot pie or something. It's just a really good easy drinker, not some bombastic experiment but an every-day kind of beer in a less popular style that should be more popular. Would buy regularly, please can.
