On tap. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It smelled of chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Good roasted malt and coffee taste with notes of chocolate and caramel.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a deep brown color with a thick head. Aroma of chocolate, some vanilla and roasted malt. Taste of similar to the aroma. Mild bitterness and a finish that is quite dry. Medium body, quite smooth with a subtle sweetness. Nice.

Pours a black color. 1/2 inch head of a tan color. Good retention and great lacing. Smells of coffee, sweet malt, roasted malt, and alcohol. Fits the style of an American Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of coffee, sweet malt, roasted malt, slight vanilla, hint of hop, and alcohol. Overall, good appearance, feel, body, and blend.
