On tap. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It smelled strongly of roasted coffee with chocolate and toffee. Coffee taste is present but not as strong as the aroma. Sweet chocolate and caramel notes, too.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep brown color with and off-white head. Aroma of roasted coffee and malt. Taste of roasted malt with a nice bit of coffee. Moderate bitterness and fairly dry finish. Medium body, with a nice blend as the coffee is present but not overpowering. Quite tasty.
