Made in honor of knowing, facing, recognizing and reacting to our Inner Saboteurs. It is about embracing the unknown future, understanding fears of success and failure, and becoming more vulnerable to criticism or rejection. Inner Saboteur is about building a connection with that side of ourselves in order to better understand ourselves.
Made with Columbus and Simcoe, it is bitter, sweet, spicy, dank and slightly boozy Double IPA. A description for both your personal Inner Saboteur as well as the beer.

Dark copper in color with a relatively clear complexion. There’s a faint trace of off white around the rim. There’s aroma is of citrus. I’m tasting a hefty dose of citrus hops and lightly crackery malt. The mouth is lightly sticky and dry.

Slightly hazy light copper color with a modest but long lasting off white head and some bits of lacing.
The aroma is caramel, grapefruit and pine.
The taste is pretty much the same, caramel malt, grapefruit and hints of tangerine lightly sweet, slightly tart. The finish is dry with lingering citrus zest and pine resin, moderate bitterness.
The body is medium, good carbonation level, crisp with a well hidden ABV and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a fairly decent imperial American IPA, well balanced and tasty and enjoyable, not the best but hardly the worst, well done.

This is by far, hands down, the worst DIPA I've ever had. I've had a lot. These people have no idea what they're doing.
If they think this garbage is worthy of a release, then I'll never buy another Third Wheel beer.
Most St. Louis breweries are disappointing, but this one takes the cake. 2nd Shift and Narrow Gauge are the only solid ones around here. Yes, I'm saying 4 Hands isn't good either. All of theirs range from bad to drinkable.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace. It smelled of toasted caramel, grapefruit, resin and some orange peel. Sweet fruity taste with a punch of grapefruit. Nice toasted caramel backbone with a bold bitterness.
