Named for the black Basalt so prevalent throughout the Magic Valley, this is a nice dark, full bodied beer with a creamy head and nice roast coffee flavors, a little bit of residual sweetness in this stout will leave a film on the glass, and you wanting more.

Grunt fill from brewery. Near black pour with small skin of tan head.Mild bitter aroma of roast grains and coffee. Taste brings in some sweetness, chocolate, bitterness stays in the back and lingers for a while. Starts slow and gains some momentum as it goes.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the Pub on Main location in Twin Falls, Idaho as part of a four sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with off tan head n which left a spotty lace. The beer was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
