Sampler from Toby. Hazy golden pour, wispy white head. Grainy aroma, biscuity, lemon, coriander, Light in taste and on the palate, savory notes but thick on body.

this beer is a mess. it was morning still, i was a little rough from the night before, and i wanted a nice summery sipper to get me going again. even a mediocre wit would have sufficed under these conditions, but i didnt even get that out of this one. the server seemed to know too, asking me in a suggestive way if i wanted to taste it before i committed to a whole pint. the yeast here is all out of whack, past estery and even past phenolic to downright soapy and chemical, something i have noticed in other beers from these guys, but to a much lesser degree. it doesnt matter that the wheat malt is nice and fresh or that there is a little citrus pop in here, and that its so well carbonated, because how flawed this is on the fermentation side ruins everything. it tastes like melting plastic smells, and its not an infection to me, these guys just need to get their fermentation temperatures under control, im sure thats the issue here. other than that, its a fine wit, but its so pronounced it cant be ignored. my least favorite of their beers i have had so far by a million miles...
