Growler fill from the brewery. Tasted it in the brewery, and decided to bring this home for the weekend. Dark brown, small ring of head. Boozy, leathery aroma. Taste is more of the bourbon, sweet malts, molasses, some bitterness. Seems much bigger than 9.5%. Lingering warmth.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the Pub on Main location in Twin Falls, Idaho as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear amber with very thin white head which did not leave much lace. The beer was nicely balanced and easy to drink. Reminded me of a Flanders Style Red....then the bar keep said it was aged in bourbon barrel which is what gave this amber an odd flare. I was hoping more for a hoppy red. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
