What a disappointment. There are certain things that just straight up suck in this life: Current MLB umpires at their jobs, Disney’s efforts on the Star Wars franchise, and this beer. I just mean, wow. Imagine canning air. Yep. This beer straight up tastes like air. And by that I mean nothing. So Green Cheek, you straight up tell me that you are going to throw the words ‘Rye’ and ‘Coffee’ on this beer (mind you Portola Coffee at that), and you are going to have a beer taste this flat and lifeless?
For shame!
*Ok, after having this one again, I can understand it and enjoy it for what it is. I guess I just expected another glorious coffee bomb like New Adventures, but no. Here we have a pretty subtle - yet smooth - Coffee/Rye beer. Nothing amazing, but still quality.
