Built on a base of raw wheat, old fashioned oats, and super pale pilsner malt, we used those neat little freeze dried Sauvignon Blanc skins from New Zealand (Phantasm) in this one, as well as a yeast strain that makes those neat little things explode with craaaaaaazy aromatics! Oh! And then we also double dry hopped with our hand selected lot of Nelson from our good good Pallys™️ at @freestylehops for good measure. Tasting notes? Think of white grape juice, fresh kiwi and guava, and even some cotton candy. Insanely fun.

2025 Batch! Sweet tropical hoppy, prominent Nelson white wine grape, and an orange-grapefruit citrus-dank nose on this one! Nice nose! Taste follows with a Nelson-forward, grapefruit citrus hoppy bitter finish. Green Cheek is world-class with handling Nelson hops and this is well done, but it finishes just a touch short IMO...that Nelson hop goodness didn't carry through to the backend of the swallow for me. This has a nice mouthfeel to it, but is more medium-bodied than creamy-soft...maybe because of the Phantasm? Still very good, though!

Phantasm?! What the fuck is this sorcery?! I am tasting the exact same base beer side by side. One with Citra and El Dorado hops, and the other with those hops, plus "phantasm." The one with "phantasm" added is noticably more aromatic and tastier. I had no idea my night would include a lesson in beer ingredients, but I'm so glad it has.
