Poured at fridge temp. Pours a thick black with a half inch of brown head. The nose is fantastic. Fudge, vanilla, light coffee, maple, bourbon, biscuits, and dark fruit.
The taste is really interesting. I'm getting black licorice, bourbon, dark toffee, coffee, maple syrup, prunes, and a touch of soy sauce (not in a bad way).
The mouthfeel is thick and creamy. The aftertaste is a mix of sweet maple and roasted malts.

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 4-10-24 into a snifter at 55 degrees.
Look- Black, opaque, medium brown creamy head, below average head retention and lacing, particulate visible at the margins, moderate alcohol legs on the glass walls.
Smell- Bourbon, maple, coffee, oak, vanilla, between medium and high strength of scent.
Taste- Maple, bourbon, coffee, vanilla, roasted malt, moderately sweet, high strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, silky, below average carbonation, mildly creamy, highly mouth warming, moderately mouth coating, moderately sweet, highly bitter, highly boozy at finish.
Overall- Black and opaque with below average head retention and lacing. The bouquet was a great mix of bourbon, maple, coffee and vanilla. The flavor followed the nose with more roasted malt character peaking through. The body was a bit thinner than expected with low carbonation, but some nice mouth warming and coating properties. It’s hard to go wrong with a bourbon, maple and coffee flavor/aromatic profile and this beer didn’t disappoint. It delivered a very deliciously flavorful and boozy drinking experience.

Pours with zero head & and a ruddy chestnut/mahogany color. No head retention or lacing, viscous
S: Maple syrup, a little roastyness, fades abruptly, some smokiness once warm, hints or Port as well
T: Follows the nose, some cola notes vanilla & some coffee up front. Bourbon barrel as this warms up along with maple candy, a little coffee, some char & woody hops as this beer warms up . Plenty of Bourbon in the finish, some maple notes, a little vanilla & coffee, along with a little woody hop
MF: Somewhat chewy, low carbonation, some booze bite & warming to this
Seems pretty under carbonated, this had plenty of potential. Did drink fairly easy for the heft

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin dark khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, coffee, molasses, light bourbon and maple syrup. Flavor is dark toasted malt, coffee, maple syrup and molasses. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. A rich coffee stout with a fully RIS profile. Deftly handled maple adds interest without dominating the flavor. Mild bourbon character, but frankly this didn't really need any, lots going on anyway. Kinda sweet, but far short of cloying and well with my new taste rules where I'm tired of over-sweet dessert stout before the glass is finished. Nicely done; Bombastic has been excellent with their stouts; one of my favorite brewers of this style. Glad its one of the few Idaho breweries with a periodic presence in Seattle stores.

Many thx to muchloveforhops3 for this beer!
A - Black pour with thin, dense toffee colored lacing ring and no visible carbonation. This dark liquid leaves lots of legs on the sides of the glass.
S - Lightly sweet roasted chocolate malt with a shot of maple.
T - Sweet chocolate roast, maple, some light char, and some alcohol presence while ending on the sweeter side.
M - Light syrupy body that's silky smooth and warms the back of the throat.
O - This is a fantastic Imperial Stout and highly recommended.

insanely sweet, but i was impressed with this, one of their best beers i reckon, i have yet to really fully jump on the bombastic hype train, they have some not so great beers too, even in this big stout space where they are making waves, but there can be no doubt that this is one of the good ones, thankful to have been able to have a pour of it! massive body and abv, tons of flavor, this is really bold. maple bourbon barrel aged and with coffee in it, lots of both of those elements in the aroma and flavor of this monster, near black, super viscous, and surprisingly heady, mocha colored and airy and slow fading. the nose is maple syrup all day, heaps of vanilla from the whiskey, and an almost burnt level of roast to it, sort of balancing the sweet but thats not what its like in the flavor because they hit at different times, massive maple, molasses, and brown sugar through the first half, all over my teeth when its gone too, but the second half is the coffee, some smoke, an almost over roasted barley character, burnt drip, like its been roasted through its peak profile and just hits like bitter espresso. im not saying it isnt cohesive and good because it is, but this isnt a beer that showcases any kind of special coffee qualities, no space for that even if it were in here, but it isnt. i suppose i like it having the bitterness. the maple part makes it unique but the bourbon itself really comes through too, brown sugar, vanilla bean, booziness of course, a lot of it when it warms up a bit. dark chocolate, strong coffee late, quite decadent, fudgey, intense. its so sweet, and there is a lightly acrid element from the coffee that thins it some, maybe faintly disjointed for a second, but overall this is darn near the high water mark for my experience with bombastic beers to date, top five anyway, really good, love the maple barrel treatment! still ever so slightly amateurish if i am being critical.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Near black pour, instant beige head disappears. Roasty malt aroma, dark chocolate, notes of maple. In the taste, bitter roasty malts edge out the sweet maple. Overall it strikes a really nice balance, creamy feel, mild stickiness at the finish. High ABV not very noticeable.

16oz can, a big beer at 14% (there are several variants listed at various abv's with different adjuncts), with a double-maple treatment and coffee added following the bourbon-barrel rest. Pours black-as-night but not sludgy, mocha-colored ring of head. Lots of maple, strong throughout, with a very present bourbon warmth with undertones of coffee, vanilla, caramel, chocolate, a big beer for sure. Short of cloying, with ever-present maple and bourbon warmth, a dessert sipper that ranks up with the best of them.

Appearance is very dark brown with a dense tan head of average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is coffee, bourbon, and a faint hint of maple. Taste has coffee notes initially, with a strong bourbon presence. The maple syrup adds a slight sweetness. The finish is dry with a mild oak astringency and the alcohol is still a bit hot. Excellent beer!
