Poured from a 22 ounce undated bottle into a snifter at 55 degrees.
Look- Deep brown, dark brown frothy head, opaque, plentiful visible particulate at the margins, average head retention, below average lacing.
Smell- Cacao, ancho chilies, bourbon, cinnamon, vanilla, pepper, oak, slight tobacco, high strength of scent.
Taste- Cacao, ancho chilies, bourbon, cinnamon, mildly sweet, highly spicy, high strength of flavor.
Feel- Between thin and medium body, slightly below average carbonation, silky, highly mouth warming, moderately mouth coating, highly bitter.
Overall- This beer provided an interesting and complex drinking experience. The body was thinner than desired. The flavors were nice, but could have benefited from more barrel character. The aromatics were strong, complex and well balanced. The appearance was great for the style.

22 oz bottle, thanks bro- Pours black with minimal tan head. Aroma is bourbon, cinnamon, caramel, chilies. The flavor is cinnamon, chilie peppers, cocoa, caramel, coconut. So very complex, delicious.
