16oz can into a goblet. Canned 8/18/20, so 2 months old. Tavour shipment.
Looks good in the glass. Jet black body, small tan head shrinks to a ring no lacing.
Lightly boozy aroma with a hint of banana.
On tasting, the banana is the most forward flavor. It's quite sweet, and the light roast does a good job of balancing it out. Quite warm from the abv. However, it's just a little too much banana for this palate.
Mouth closer to full than medium, finish roasty sweet banana.
Overall, not a bad drink, but not an experience I'd want to repeat often. Interesting that earlier reviewers report a light banana.

16oz can poured into a HotD snifter.
A: Oily, thick black pour produces a fairly big mocha-colored head.
S: Maple syrup-like sweetness plays well with the prominent coffee/espresso notes; roasted malt is there as well.
T: Big roasted malt body, with notes of milk chocolate and espresso, coffee cake and a touch of heat. Banana is subtle and plays nicely with the maple syrup sweetness and the light espresso/roast bitterness.
MF: Thick and viscous, and not overly bitter, more sweet.
O: Love these brews I've been trying from Bombastic, and this is no exception. The banana is light, but the maple syrup and coffee character is really well-executed.

16 oz can from Boise Coop. Black pour with a small, spotty brown head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee with some roasty malts. Taste mirrors the aroma with some very subtle banana flavors thrown in.
