Hirtshals 14/10 2020. 44 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Red can with blue pattern. When I look closely I can see it’s the word “prost” written repeatedly in blue.
Pours unclear yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruity odor of apricot and oranges. White sugar. Tart notes of unripe gooseberries. Hints of citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and citric. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.
Quite austere and unforgiving for a Kölch. Bitter and dry with a redeeming sweet streak. Prost.
