Baltic Porter is our first try at a bottom-fermented Porter - brewed for the occasion of Baltic Porter Day in January 2025. As a beer geek in Denmark, Baltic Porter is a style of beer that you quickly come across, and learn to love - as we have a few legendary examples of this style from breweries like Thisted Bryghus and Wiibro Bryggeri, which 20 years ago were some of the only good beers brewed in Denmark. Our Baltic Porter is a smooth, toasty and hefty beer - with huge malt character with notes of chocolate, caramel and liquorice, a full mouthfeel, and a dry finish. We're excited to bring this classic style to the market!

Copenhagen 9/2 2025. 44 cl can from N'Bro Kiosken, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. Vintage label in black, white and orange. Looks like something from the Seventies.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized, dense beige head. Stable. Settles as a thin noodle of foam floating in the middle of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with sweet and a bit boozy odor mingling with a bitter scent. Earthy fumes chiming in. Sweet caramel and toffee. Hints of brown sugar. Dark chocolate. Leather and tobacco.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Fine earthy specimen. Not too heavy.
