Slice of Sunshine is our first iteration of what we call the Modern West Coast IPA, where we combine classic trademarks of the West Coast IPA - bitterness, clarity and crisp malt profile - with hopping techniques and the aromatic focus of modern IPA's.
A light malt profile of only pilsner & dextrin malt, as light as it gets, combined with the clean bitterness from hop extract and a neutral US-ale yeast, makes a perfect canvas for the hops to play the main part.
Mosaic, Citra and Nelson Sauvin provide abundant zesty and sharp hop aromas of gooseberries, grape, pineapple and a lot of dankness, with an absolutely bursting hop flavor.
This is an IPA that we are super excited about, and is going to be a defining beer for the evolution of Bad Seed's hoppy offerings.

Pours a hazy yellow with fine soapy head.
Smell is fruity with notes of oranges, grapefruit, melon and grapes with some hints of caramel.
Taste is fruity with notes of grapefruit, peach, pine and green tea and a solid bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, sticky and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice IPA, that I think may have been a teeny bit old.

Copenhagen 18/4 2022. 44 cl can from N'Bro Kiosken, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. Sharp yellow can with colored drawing of a parrot.
Pours slightly unclear, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of tropical fruit mingling with a citric scent. Dry vibe. Peach and mango. Citrus and lime. A bit sharp.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
A quite bitter and dry slice of sunshine.
