the only sour i tried while i was in here, its not bad, interesting for not having fruit or anything weird in it, quite substantial for what it is, drinks a little heavy, but i really dont mind the grain and mineral character being a little more robust here, it just kind of caught be off guard for how low alcohol it is. this is brassy colored and shiny and doesnt hold much of a head, its clear for the style and has a lightly metallic nose where i get some lemon acidity and some coriander to it, a briny element from the salt, and quite a lot of malted wheat, more than i am used to, and that holds true in the flavor too, where the wheat is a little sweet and crackery, stands out quite a lot. the salt is stronger here which i like as well, helps it dry out at the end. funny esters to the lacto part though, tart green apple, dish soap, and lime, not as clean as i think it could be, and definitely not as drinkable, but its not overly acidic and its nice to have one as robustly flavored as this is. could use a little tweaking and dialing in, but its on its way.
