a decent example of the style. is there a brewery out there who isnt making one of these right now? my goodness, brut ipa is everywhere. this one has a nice shiny golden color to it, good clarity and a short white head. it has a cool hop profile too, smells like new zealand stuff to me, melons and white wines and cut flowers, but i am not sure what hops they use for sure. lots of freshness here, less interesting on the grain side than the best ones of these have been, seems like a simple pale two row base, a little sweet oddly enough as well too, not really something thats supposed to be in one of these, the brut part i thought meant dry, well this is off dry at best. they also didnt quite get the carbonation to the level it needs to be at, another feature i look for and expect in these, but its hard to be too critical, the hop profile is excellent, there is no bitterness at all, and overall this is fresh and bright and summery and tasty, a cool fruitiness to the hops, very distinctive really. we had a great time in here, tons of hoppy stuff for every palate!
