Pours a hazy yellow color. A large creamy and foamy head displays excellent retention.
The nose is loaded with citrusy and juicy hops aromatics. Pithy and bright notes of freshly squeezed orange juice, lemon, lime and grapefruit. Aromas of cracker, biscuit, peach, pear, grass and pine.
Aligning with the aroma, the taste is bright and juicy with citrusy and herbal hops flavors dominating the palate. A malt base evokes cracker, biscuit and oats, and supports pithy flavors of grapefruit rind, tangerine, lemon, lime and lots of grass and sharp pine. There is a very pleasant herbal and semi resiny bitterness, easy going but assertive.
Medium bodied with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. The finish is dry, bright, semi crisp, and resiny. The carbonation is moderate.
This was awesome as it reminds me of everything I loved about Vermont beers when I first tried them. The hops really sing with a nice combination of juicy, herbal and restrained bitterness. I would definitely have again.
