10ish ounces in a plastic house pint at the brewery/farmstand.
Appearance: Cloudy amber. Eggshell head. Frothy, carbonated.
Aroma: Malt sweetness a la sugars and caramel. Some grain and grass.
Taste: Hmm. Kind of a stinging sweetness here that recalls apple cider vinegar almost. Edges on cloying. Big malt presence. Some bread. Grass. Caramel. Burned sugar.
Mouthfeel: Oddly filling. Full of body.
Overall: I think this brewery is kind of growing into itself. This beer shows promise but there are kinks to work out. I have no doubt they'll get there. For now, this beer was so sweet that I'm glad I didn't have their caramel apple ale - it must be a sugar bomb. I briefly thought I was served the wrong one.
