Copenhagen 25/11 2023. 66 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Off-white label made out to look like a handwritten piece of schematic describing the beer. 2023 edition.
Pours clear golden yellow with a big white head. Settles as uneven lumpy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor and a whiff of fermented fruit. Sweet pale malts, light bread, cardboard and cereal. Overripe plums and apricot.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Sweet and malty with a fruity touch.

Notes via stream of consciousness: The label is printed to look like it’s hand written which is nice. It’s brewed with water, barley, rice, and hops and then aged for three weeks. It’s poured a crystal clear deep golden colored body beneath a three finger thick head of Ricky white foam. Hundreds of tiny bubbles can be seen racing upwards within. The aroma is basic. It’s clean with a sweetish malt base and just the lightest touch of floral and spicy hops in the background. There are definitely no spices or anything else going on here, it’s just a slightly strong adjunct lager that’s been given some extra time to clean up and mature. The taste confirms what the aroma has suggested and I’m a little bit disappointed that they didn’t go 100% barley on this one. The label lists it as having 28 IBUs but it still starts sweetish. The hops come out to play, and then it finishes dry and lightly spicy. I can’t argue this given the price but I’m also surprised they didn’t do a little bit more with it. Perhaps it’s a cultural thing and I’m just missing it. In the mouth it’s medium bodied and gently crisp before warming to become quite smooth. The head has held up well and I’m about halfway through the 40 cl glass that I poured, and the lacing is made up of almost completely solid sheets all around. It’s a decent beer with some hop character to it but really nothing special.

Shared 660 ml bottle, vintage 2016, at local tasting. Bought in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. ABV is 6.5%. Golden colour, white head. Honeyish lager aroma. Decent lager flavour, medium dry, tolerable hops, but not very special.

Wearing a very standard beer as an exellent product is like a brewer's sin that must be denounced. The beer is good for thirsting, but it is already. Christmas beer? What a nonsense

2015 Edition. From Hipercor. In Teku glass. Watching Sons of Anarchy 2x09. Better than expected. Easy drinking and above the average industrial pilsner in taste. Not much nose. Avg 3.03
