An easy drinking beer from Cologne Germany.
A Malty, clean crisp and refreshing ale with a moderately hoppy finish.

A draught taster at the brewery.
And from a bottle purchased at the brewery, poured into a Pilsner Pokal.
A golden pour with a decent head and some random splotchy lacing.
The toasted malt is well done, leathery notes.
The hops selection is spot on for flavor, pleasantly bitter.
Medium bodied and smooth mouthfeel.
If there was ever a notion to create a German equivalent to an English Bitter, this recipe might be a good starting point.
An easy drinking and flavorful brew.
I kick myself for not buying a six pack instead of a single.
A very good Kolsch!

This was a very heavily bitter hopped Kolsch.
