On tap at the Mule in Hamilton. Back out of retirement at least temporarily. Review from notes.
Appearance - Pretty clear light amber colored brew with a finger plus of white head. Lots of bubbles.
Smell - Grainy, malty, a scent of wet fallen leaves. Some caramel in the background. Perhaps a trace of something nutty.
Taste - bready, like some fresh baked loaf with hints of pumpernickel. The fall flavor of wet leaves makes it's way there with some earthiness. Again just a hint of nuttiness.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, decent fizzy carbonation, semi-dry finish.
Overall - Really solid brew, better than expected, with some good depth of aroma and flavor, beyond what I was expecting for a local Vienna Lager. Also went nicely with the tacos, so no complaints there either,
