Our take on German festbier. Inspired by hedonism, and little else.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a Teku glass. From Erie St. Gastropub's bottle shop in nearby downtown Windsor. Canned September 18/25. My 24th beer from the Hamilton, Ontario brewery, and 7th for 2026. Adamantly adored by Sundae the cat...

16 ounce can from the brewery.
Pours a clear bright golden colour with two fingers of puffy white head.
Grainy, bready malt on nose - doughy with a soft floral and slightly spicy hop aroma.
Clean bready malt, toast on the palate - grainy and sweet but with a bright leafy floral bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel - smooth with moderate carbonation and a crisp bittersweet finish. Very easy drinking.

Review from notes. Bought from the brewery. Canned in October 2022.
Appearance - Amber colored brew, great clarity, good finger plus of head.
Smell - Clean and grainy hints of fall leaves and plenty of malt. Trace of pumpernickel in the background.
Taste - Nice and bready, some slight sweet malts and then loads of bready goodness. One of the better Festbiers out there.
Mouthfeel - Smooth, medium bodied, good feel.
Overall - Really nice (and fresh) brew. Very welcome festbier.
