and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some nice floral coffee notes and vanilla and light residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some nice floral coffee notes and some light residual sugar notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with not much discernible alcohol notes. Great coffee based stout but not sure the Cognac aged pistachios can be really tasted.

At The Cookie Bar on Drouillard Rd. in nearby Windsor; chilled and on tap, 4oz. in a flight of four beers. My seventh beer from the Hamilton, Ontario brewery, and fourth for 2025.

Decent imperial stout, very strong (too strong) pistachio and coffee (not yielding complex flavour just strong). Drinkable sipper. Didn't seem to be 13% but small can helped anyways.

12 ounce can split two ways.
Pours a thick black oily colour with a half finger of reddish tinged brown head.
Nose is heavy on the coffee roastiness with dark chocolate, slightly nutty aroma and hints of maple syrup and spirits.
Taste initially strikes with a bitter dark chocolate flavour with espresso - the coffee notes open up as warms and sweetness meanders in with maple syrup, vanilla and a bit of booziness, balancing out the initial bitterness.
Rich and thick creamy mouthfeel with a warming boozy bittersweetness.
