Single 16 ounce can from the brewery in Hamilton, travelled via suitcase to Edmonton.
Pours a deep black with a finger of tight bubbly reddish brown head, some sticky lacing.
The nose is a burst of raspberry jamminess that is quite remarkable - lesser hints of chocolate, vanilla. I failed to pull ginger, though not a complaint.
Tastes of bittersweet chocolate covered raspberry with that touch of vanilla giving way to a tart fruity finish.
Medium full mouthfeel, though thinner than expected with decent carbonation - lingering raspberry tartness.
Not at all bad - and I love the jammy aroma - but a tart raspberry flavoured stout probably not my go to.
