A: Hazy copper color, 1/2 inch off white head, good lacing
S: I get some caramel malts and then a florally hop
T: Slight sweetness right up front then the floral hops come in pretty hard. Bitter hoppy aftertaste.
M: Medium to light
O: A really good beer IMO. I really like the hoppiness that sometimes goes lacking in this style.

Pours a burnt orange with reddish tint, one finger of fluffy white head settles to a thin cap, thin rings partway down the glass. Smell: toasted grain, caramel, clean hopping with subdued hop aromas... earthy, pine, grapefruit rind. Taste: wholegrain toast, generic stone fruit sweetness, steely caramel, mildly citric, lots of hop bitterness without much hop flavor. Barely medium bodied, shy of creamy feel, dries out quickly, lightly metallic aftertaste. Not very good.

Overall flavor is a bland and malty with a more hops than this style ought to have. Has a weird, metallic aftertaste. Not a great representation of the style. Drinkable, but nothing special. Being a newer brewery, I'll give them another shot and hope they will get better.

While visiting across the river from Augusta, I had a couple of these out of the bottle, so I really can't judge the color or head. On the label, it said Amber Ale. To my uneducated palate, it tasted like an IPA. It is rich and hoppy, with a strong tangy flavor, not as good as my favorite IPAs
Edit: a couple of months later I went back and my host and I had the last two bottles I had left in his fridge. The flavor was a little better than I had remembered it.

12 oz bottle, I can find no freshness info
Pours like a typical looking ambler ale
Meh, malty sniff
Moore amltyness, nutty, bready... remaining in the middle of the road ...carbonation seemingly on the slightly higher side..nothing special...would work as part of a marinade for chicken or fish, but for much else
