Bière de Mac

 

 

 

 

My wife and I stopped here to try their beers and to have dinner. Turns out that they don't serve food; however, a food truck was there which offered Chinese food. This place is just south of town in a building that has a beer garden during the warm months. There is plenty of parking. The interior is an open-space concept with wood paneling on the walls and an open-rafter ceiling. The bar sits at the rear, and has 8 stools. There are plenty of tables/chairs, and a gas-log fireplace adds some ambiance. The brewing equipment is visible thru a wall of windows. Service was via ordering at the bar.

We ordered a sampler flight of 6 beers from the 13 that were available. All of them were brewed very well to style. About half of the available beers were Belgian or French styles. The most notable one to me was the Nous L'aimons farmhouse ale, which the brewery tags as a Biere de Garde. And the MI Maple Amber Ale had a very good maple flavor to it.

I think the brewery is relatively new, but their beers are brewed like a place that has the recipes well dialed-in to what the brewer likely intends. This is a place that I'll visit again, and is highly recommended.

Beer selection was excellent and different than what most breweries have. Outdoor seating area, we sat inside. Nice atmosphere. Brewing area visible from seating area. Food trucks for the summer months.

 

 

 

I have been here twice. Both times I had a great time. The Mac and Cheese was really good, but the Jalapeno Popper Burger was fantastic. The service is a bit slow, but the wait staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the brews. The beer was good, nothing mind-blowing stands out, but certainly worth a visit.

 

Stopped in on our way to the UP and had the 20 Fathoms milk stout Nitro and it was delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more.

Good beer, good food, and a great atmosphere. The Brew room is visible from the dining area so you can see the Brewers at work. The beer is good, so get the style you like, but the Mac and cheese is a must try if you want food!
