This is a new brewery and they are trying hard but I think they have a bit of a ways to go. I've found this brew and a few of their others too sour. There's something add about the carbonation; it bites more than foams. On the plus side, there is a very pleasant after taste. Perhaps, the only brewery where I like the taste better a minute or two after a sip rather than when I'm actually drinking it. I take a sip and find it bites too much and so the body of the malt is last. Then a minute or two later, there's a nice linger malt flavor that lasts.

Wow, someone actually added this before me... growler filled an hour ago at the brewery.

Pours a big frothy thick 1 finger head that fades semi slowly, tons of soapy lacing, very murky but darker mahogany reddish-brown color.

Nose nice hops, plenty of citrus fruity hops, a little grassy spicy hop note, some sweet malts, a little candy malt, a touch of like raw wort,

Taste brings some sweet grainy malts out front, a little caramel and biscuity like toasted grains, a little sweetness, with a bit of a yeasty flavor (I did get the first pour off a new keg so probably some yeast settling to the bottle which was not there in my sample glass), touches of fruity ester notes almost like it was slightly under attenuated (which I had that conversation with Dave the brewer, he already knows and is working on the issue), hosp are nice but less so than the sample glass I had which was a different keg, some citrus and fruity notes, mostly orange rind, some grapefruit pith later on the back end, a little doughy note as well, hops are pretty spicy on the finish, which is a little sticky sweet.

Mouth is med bod, a bit light on the carbonation (gas was turned off when they started my growler so it filled with just gas from the keg), a little sticky sweet.

Overall not bad, the sample I had from the other keg was much better I think, this was still good but seems like the first pour off the keg was iffy, I'll definitely be getting this again at some point so I can re-review it then.
