The initial pour is large bubbled and doesn't leave much of a head. What remains, though, is a tight-bubbles foam on the beer. It leaves some minor streaks. The liquid is copper-amber color. It has a light haze.

Strong caramel aroma, similar to a British version of an IPA. The hop is lighter and of the floral variety.

The flavor is more ashen, which is secondary deep roasted malt taste. The body is thinner than expected and the carbonation is elevated. The bitterness is muted for an IPA but suitably present. Overall, I thought at first this was a harsh beer without a dramatic hop presence. Midway through, I've warmed up to it.

I believe centennial and simcoe. Growler filled 2 days ago

Pours a decent fizzy head, little lacing, slight hazy golden orange

Nose fruity, little fruity slight under attenuated malt perhaps, but nitpicking, mild sweet toasted malt, amber malt, fruity hop little citrus, generic fruity, grassy and a bit spicy,

Taste spicy hop notes, fruity, fair citrus, generic fruity, faint melon and gumball, into sweet malt, a little creamy, amber toasted malts, fair bitterness grassy little spicy, chewy hop late, more west coast traditional ipa.

Mouth is med bod a bit creamy, a little light on carb but growler so excusable

Overall not bad, as I mentioned an old school ipa east coast crossed west coast thing, not neipa, but enjoyable in its own way.
