Pours a giant foamy frothy over-carbonated tan head that never fades, a little lacing, very dark ruby brown color with a bit of light coming through
Nose brings sweet aromas, toffee and some caramel, molasses, etc, brown sugar, not much actual malt though, a little biscuity brown malt
Taste lots of toasted malts, grainy, biscuity, big sweetness with caramel, toffee, molasses, brown sugar, etc, everything sweet, and again little malt, med-higher spicy hops as well that turn astringent on the drier finish, quite astringent and spicy bitter, a little harsh phenolic thing that comes in late that is a typical signature of yeast fermenting way past they should have in the can, started decent then ended bad
MOuth makes it worse, waaaaaaay too much harsh carbonation that just foams everything in the mouth, med body maybe, but syrupy as well, and astringent
Overall this was a mess, not very well done, recipe seems off, execution seems off, canning is way off, not much to save this one
