Slightly hazy with a deep, darker gold color. Lasting rim bubbles which leaves some spots on the glass.
Some cardboard with a used sherry cask. Plenty of alcohol nose. Boozy. Not as sweet as most but there's some residual raisin.
For the style, this is highly hopped. This is the driest Tripel I've ever had. It's still slightly sweet but certainly not cloy. Plenty of alcohol warmth. Good body considering the lower sugar. Appropriate carbonation. What stands out is the bittering hop which is distinct and strong. The beer is good but a departure from the style.
