This beer pours an unusual brown-grape juice appearance. In the glass it looks more brown than purple, but it is not traditional. Small head but excellent blanket lacing
Lots of pineapple to the smell. I get a lot of "prickly" notes.
Very dry initial taste. I get some cardboard and lots of straight up bitterness. Overall, there isn't much to place this in the New England category. One person trying this beer with me said it was dull. I wouldn't go that far but I would agree it wasn't with much interest.
