Lightly hazy with a light amber color. The head is impressive without being overly large. Slow to recede and leaves plenty of wide streaks on the glass.
Creamy, caramel-sweet nose. It smells more like a rich Red Ale than a blonde. Still, it's appealing.
The malty base is as the smell describes, but it fades quick when a harsh, bittering hop takes over. This makes the initial semisweet flavor go bone dry in the swallow. Rich body, especially for a Blonde Ale. The carbonation is neutral. The finish is similar to sucking a hop pellet which gives this beer a very long aftertaste, definitely not typical for the style.
