16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of citrus, pineapple and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

On tap at the brewery 6/13/24 into a nonic pint glass.
SRM 12 Pours clear bright amber with very steady lush carbonation, a large domed eggshell white head that has excellent retention down to a thick skin, random medium webby lacing.
S: Citrus, piney hops, caramelized malts, light cereal grains.
T: Caramelized malts, a bitter black tea note, pine resin, grapefruit zest, a hint of toasted cereal grains, a fruity mix. It is moderately sharp and has a very long resinous linger that builds.
F: Fluffy semi-juicy medium bodied mouthfeel with a tall center and a lengthy drying finish.
O: I believe #21 IPA to be one of the best beers from Hoops. Like piney resin in an IPA? This is your ticket. Quite resinous and IMO is a lovely American IPA that reverts back to the 1980's style craft Ales. The taste & feel go broad, it's fruity, and is relatively bold. It is outstanding in its style.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery.
The beer is a clear yellow-orange with a white head that quickly fades.
Aroma is citrus, pine and a bit dank. Slightly floral.
A tasty brew. Citrus and pine, nicely bitter with a touch of candied fruit sweetness.
Mouthfeel is medium and a touch sticky. Very good.

Pours a clear orange-yellow with a quickly dissipating white head. Smells very hop forward, resinous and slightly citrus-y. Taste follows, with citrus and pine coming through before a slightly sweet malty finish. Reminiscent of a double IPA. Smooth and slightly sticky mouthfeel. Solid all around.

From a 5 day old crowler into a spieglau IPA glass. Slightly hazy peach with a big 2 finger white head and very good retention and lacing. Nose is promising -- like a wet spring garden herbal notes on the outside and at the center a little pine and a little tangerine. On the tongue, bingo, this is great and tastes so fresh. Clean bready notes lay down a foundation and there's a really nice blending of the fresh dank hops with slightly more zippy citrus and pine, playing a supporting role. Mouthful is great...full flavors but quite light feel, carb is middling, bitterness is middling to low, though there's a nice pointed finish that. Rings it all together. Really flavorful, wonderfully integrated parts, and refreshing. One of the better new locals of the year for me, and by far the best of the three I tried from these guys.

A nicely done WC Style IPA. It pours mostly clear with a clean white head and lacing. Smells of pine and citrus mixed with a garden dank hop. Taste follows nose with pine hops in charge floral and citrus hops combine for a fruity dry finish kissed by some caramel malts. A medium carbonated brew fruity and dry with a nice bitter hop finish. Im a fan.
