Had it on tap at the brewhouse originally and many growler fills later I figured I ought to leave a review. It's billed as a "beer drinker's IPA" and lives up to that moniker.
Dark orange color with a white head and strong floral aroma. You really can't taste the 8% booze, but surprisingly it isn't too bitter either... Just a nice bold flavor that isn't overdone. My only complaint is that it's a bit drier feeling than I like. That said it's easily my favorite IPA in Duluth, but unfortunately they don't always have it available.

On tap at the brewery.
Pours a dark orange with a creamy white head.
Aroma is citrus, dank, pine, floral.
Taste is big, bold and bitter. Lots of pine and citrus pith, not much sweetmess. Booze is hidden. Long finishing piney bitterness.
Sticky, chewy.
Old school. I like it.

20oz glass on tap. Pours a burnt orange with a decent head, dissipated quickly. Smell is citrus with a strong floral hop profile. Taste is piney and very bitter, and the bitterness is even stronger in the aftertaste--a little overkill for me. This batch was 8.3% ABV and certainly didn't taste like it--the booze taste is hidden, but I wonder if it's just the bitterness. Mouthfeel is fairly carbonated and extremely dry. Fits the bill for a double IPA for sure, but it needs a slightly stronger malt profile, or any at all really, to be solid.

Poured from crowler into cup.
A: Pours a golden yellow hue with nice 1/2 inch frothy white head with good retention.
S: Nice soft citrus (orange and lemon) with floral and pine hints.
T: Follows aroma with soft citrus and secondarily soft pine and floral hop notes. Bitterness kicks up a bit too much in the aftertaste, especially compared with the rest of the experience. Subtle caramel malt in the background.
M: Light-medium body. Moderately bitter until the aftertaste, where it is a bit too much.
D: A decent IPA. I like the hop elements in the aroma and taste, but the balance is a bit off.
