This slightly sweet German lager is traditionally released in the warmer months. Full of flavor without losing any delicacy. Straw in color, it pours with a thick off-white head. Hints of malt, light honey, and herbal hops in the aroma. The flavor is rich and malty, with a crisp finish.

I think this was previously called simply "Maibock" It's the same # 965.
This is the kind of beer I expect a place like Hoops Brewing with owner Mike Hoops' many year of brewing to nail. And they did just that.
This is a fantastic maibock that looks great in the glass and drinks just as nicely. It pours a clean golden color and brings forth a rich honey bread like aroma. That follows on the taste with a rich malty, honey breadiness. All that malt richness is balanced nicely with a slightly spicy hop bill that finishes short and clean.
Medium bodied. Very impressive how the malt shines so brightly but this never gets too sweet when drinking.
This is top notch for the style and just as a beer in general.
