Pumpkin done right: delicate spice on the nose with a light body, subtle pumpkin undertones & a clean finish.

A clear, dark amber with bright copper highlights and occasional carbonation within. The head leaves a quick flash of pale amber foam and leaves no lace on a PBGC dimpled mug.
The pumpkin aroma is strong and sweet. This is very earthy and captures the real smell of pumpkin after a candle singes the walls within. Rich caramel follows. The Autumn aromas are exceptional.
Wow! This beer is great on entry, sweet with light bitterness. Pumpkin meat is strong with possibly the slightest of nutmeg. The finish could use some work as it is long and building, though once one acclimates, the finish becomes a passing thought.
A medium body and nylon texture. Watery consistency lends itself to the light and expected alcohol. Perhaps the alcohol is only a touch high, while carbonation is modest and soft.
I find it appealing to have a well-done pumpkin beer that lacks the overdone pie spices. Fleur De Lis does make a pie beer as well, which I will review shortly. My only regret is not having a pumpkin carving party to enjoy this beer with friends. I easily finished the crowler and it went well with a London Broil.
