This has gone on too long. I’m impulse buying pricey 750ML beers from breweries I’ve barely heard of. I find the price offensive, along with my stupidity. Bottled Dec 2019, split with my wife.
The pour is murky brownish red, like a busy canoe landing out of the current on Minnehaha Creek. Not much nose. Bit of sweet malt & caramel. Faint.
Wee Knobby Rye walks softly & carries a big barrel. Big rye bite bouncing off of sharp, raw staves cut from an oak moments before turning to their next life as a barrel. The brew underneath is nearly overwhelmed, but manages to kick out soft notes of vanilla, caramel, & malty sweetness. Light & airy, which aids the how much of this I want to drink. More.
Good to know my foolish purchase wasn’t a complete waste – but please, new breweries, don’t put out big bottle at $20 a pop. That day is over. But this is a very good beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
