With as many hops as you can pack in a can, our double dry-hopped Double IPA marries a traditional West Coast-style grain bill of pale malts and little else to some new school hops that lend aromas and flavors of tropical fruit and dank pine.

I'm trying this off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a slightly hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had citrus and pine resin notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with good citrus peel and pine resin presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

A - Pours golden orange body, hazy enough to be translucent, short moderate head of white and extensive lacing.

S - Big hit of orange citrus, some grapefruit zest.

T - Not a nuanced hop profile, but bright and full with a big malt foundation, a orange and grapefruit open, subtle sweetness through the middle, with a sharp bitter finish.

M - Brisk carbonation, and well-integrated alcohol warmth, prickly with some resinous build in the close.

O- Lovely. A big, well built DIPA.

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass canned on 5/05/21. Pours a clear straw yellow with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves thick streaks of lace with excellent retention. 4.5

Aroma is tangerine, peach, pineapple, mango, apricot, and a little grapefruit rind. 4.25

Taste tangerine, mango, pineapple, peach, apricot, and a little grapefruit bitterness in the balanced and juicy finish. 4.5

Mouthfeel is above average, not really sticky or dry, plenty of life, and at 9.3% ABV really easy going down with no alcohol detected. 4.25

Overall this is an excellent East meets West DIPA, really would love to sip this one again. Thanks jzeilinger for this one. Juicy without the haze. 4.25

Canned on 05-05-21.

A - Pours a medium to dark gold color with vibrant carbonation and a very dense, bright white layer of foam resting on top that doesn't dissipate.

S - The nose is slammed with oily, dank, spicy pine along with some delicate citrus and tropical fruit.

T - Oily, dank pine rules this beer from start to finish with some tropical fruit notes, and spicy rind mixed in with a very small amount of sweet malt for balance. Starts dank, ends dank, and with low bitterness initially with a slight hop grittiness on the palate.

M - Thick body with an oily presence and finishes more on the wet side.

O - This is full blown Classic D-IPA done right and totally recommended. I'm kicking myself for not buying more of this one when we were passing through Ohio this past weekend. Recommended.

Pretty nice DIPA from this relatively new local brewery....I think it falls a tad short of what other local brewers have done with this style, but worth a try and will likely seek out again!

Look - clear copper color with a lasting film on top and sticky lacing
Smell - Lots of tropical fruit and pine, very dank
Taste - just like the scent, super tropical fruity with a little less pine but still really dank and boozy
Feel - Medium body and carbonation
Overall - Fantastic beer!
