From a growler via Jungle Jim's in Eastgate and enjoyed in a snifter. This
rather nice brew pours a rich brownish black with a beautiful head of
light tan foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin pool, and displays some
very nice lacing. Nose of pine laced herbal hops, dark sweet cocoa, and
deep roasted malts with a touch of coffee. Flavors exceed the nose by
sheer presentation with a subtle coffee laced dark chocolate note that
presents itself on the fore of the taste with notes of dark roast and
subtle char laced between pine and herbal hops that give a nice
balance to the sweet malts and roast. Nice mouth feel; medium
carbonation that is lively and effervescent, medium body, and a
roast heavy finish with a touch of pine bitterness that is lightly
dry.
Overall a solid little brew from a newer brewery in the area.
Cheers
