This spiced Belgian-style Winter ale is a deep ruby color with a tan head. Fruity esters from the Belgian yeast bring to mind aromas of plums and bugglegum, while playing nicely with the spices used in the brew kettle. Full-bodied and finishing on the sweeter side, this big ale is definitely a fireside-sipper.

Look - dark amber with a slight haze and a nice white rimming and very slight head
Smell - caramel plum with some spices
Taste - spiced up candied plum like the smell but more of that and boozy
Feel - medium full body with a slight creamy medium light carb
Overall - tasty

From the tall boy can in a snifter. This SOLID brew pours a
nice burnt auburn with a nice head of off white foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin clumping layer, and shows some
nice light lacing. Nose of candy sugar, candied ginger, orange
zest, light cinnamon, and touches of dark yeasty bread. Flavors
exceed the nose by a nice presentation of fig, raisin, date, dark
brown sugars, light fresh ginger, medium touches of cinnamon,
and light banana from the yeast with touches of dark bread.
Nice mouth feel; medium body, warming, smooth, light
carbonation, and a sweet spiced finish.
Of note; with warmth comes a lot of orange zest which is
nice.
Overall----another solid brew from a great brewery!
