After fermentation completed, we transferred our Farmhouse Ale into used oak wine barrels where an unusual brewing microbe was living: Brettanomyces. Brettanomyces takes the spicy, lemony flavors and aromas of the Farmhouse ale and transmutes them into something funkier. Brett Farmhouse is golden with a white head, earthy aromas of hay, flowers, and soft, earthy funk, and a dry-as-bone finish.

I'm trying this off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a slightly hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had brett champagne like notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with good saison brett presence with dry finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Single can from Party Town
Cloudy deep golden color with a thick white head, good retention.
Spicy, funky with a bold lemon character.
