Aged for 15 months in freshly-dumped New Riff Rye Whiskey barrels, this Imperial Stout is filled with aromas of oak, chocolate, vanilla, and roast. Drying tannic notes from the barrel are balanced by sweeter flavors of dark fruits and chocolate malts, and the roasted malt flavors settle in to help lead to a finish on the drier side.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This excellent imperial pours a
rich coal blackish dirty brown with a moderate head of tan foam that settles to
a thin ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some light lacing and decent legs.
Nose of rich bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, and dark berry notes.
Flavors hit the mark with dark berry notes of blackberry and blueberry,
moderate char, dark cocoa, deep roast, bourbon, oak, vanilla, and subtle
brulee dashed with dark coffee notes. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich,
coating, moderately warming, and finishing subtly dry and moderately
sweet.
Overall, a stunner from a fantastic brewery in Cincy.
Cheers!
